here comes a mutant, Nature’s joke-butt
brain of an insect, the body of a man
why does he seem so disagreeable?
[men can't do what insects can]
inside a human: complex systems
many needs built higher than instinct
men don’t lay eggs inside their neighbor’s guts
when you meet a bug man you gotta let him be
bugs don’t burn out and they never fuckin’ learn
out of his way or he’ll lay a nasty bite
bugs’ world is horror - unthinkable
God’s balance won’t give them warm feelings
eat, shit, then fuck once, then you meet mad death
bugs are obsessed with stupid low work
they’ll damage your body with psychopathic calm
their heart rate never rises from neutral
not even when they eat your tongue
inside a bug man nothing ever moves
he performs his work task ad nauseam
his feelings match his exoskeleton

we roll the dice
with important elements of our lives
what do I like?
it’s hard to tell
anchored to a dock
we will sway as water swells
anchored to the Self
our stance sits still
and our breathing curls inside itself
we sponge and steal
and overlap
we run amok
and we laugh and smile and wish each other luck
make no demand
and love chaos
stiffened heart and guts
stops a man from standing up
caresses on his flaws
loosens him up
